The Women in Leadership 2026 Conference, themed “Beyond Woman,” is set to hold in Abuja with a strong focus on empowerment, leadership development, entrepreneurship, and nation-building.
Scheduled for Saturday, June 13, 2026, from 10:00 AM to 4:00 PM, the event will take place at Aja Ultra Modern School, Karu Site, Abuja, adjacent to the NNPC filling station. Organizers describe it as a transformational platform designed to equip women with practical skills for leadership, business growth, financial literacy, and personal development.
The conference promotes a shift from inspiration to implementation, encouraging women to move beyond traditional limits and take active roles in shaping society, industries, and the economy.

Convener Mercy A. Balami, a Global Human Resources Consultant and CEO of Mercy Care Development Foundation, stated that the conference is designed to provide practical tools rather than motivational talk alone. She emphasized that the goal is to help women develop measurable skills that translate into career and business growth.
Key areas of focus include professional communication, business development, career mapping, leadership excellence, sales strategy, branding, and financial intelligence. Organizers say these pillars were selected to address real challenges affecting women in professional and entrepreneurial spaces.
The event will also include structured networking sessions, allowing participants to connect based on shared interests and industries such as business, finance, leadership, and creative sectors.
Abuja was selected as the host city due to its growing role as a hub for policy, development, and professional engagement, as well as its accessibility to participants across different regions.
