Popular Nigerian rapper Oladipupo Olabode Oladimeji popularly known as Oladips is dead.
The late rapper’s management via Instagram on Wednesday announced his passing in a statement where they disclosed that oLADIPS died on Tuesday evening.
The statement also revealed that Oladips had been “battling within himself” for over two years before his sudden demise.
The statement reads:
“We are saddened to inform the general public that Oladipupo Olabode Oladimeji aka 0LADIPS has passed away yesterday Nov 14th Tuesday evening, at exactly 10:14 pm. We are still in shock as we speak! For over 2 years he has kept his battles within himself, his body is now with his family & funeral services will be announced as.”
“SOon as it is concluded! The family asked that we respect their privacy in this trying time. May God give us all the fortitude to bear this great loss. (amen).- Management.”
Oladips had earlier slumped and was reportedly battling for his life.
The rapper’s associate Abdul Rasheed had on Tuesday night posted a disturbing video via Instagram showing the rapper looking lifeless after collapsing.
In the video, voices could be heard calling out the rapper’s name.
One of the voices could be heard saying, “Dips, Dips, wetin be this abeg.”
Efforts were made to awake the music artiste but it was proved to be fruitless at the time.
Moments later, Abdul made another post, alleging that rapper’s mum stopped him from taking his son to the hospital.
He wrote with a picture of himself in traffic,
“Ahbeg I dey on motion, him mama say make I no carry am go hospital say make I carry am come house.”
An hour before the crisis, Oladips had shared a message on Instagram where he begged his friend to come to his rescue.
He wrote:

“This House, l Done Talk This Thing Like A Milion Times…Not Even This Period Like This. Please Dey Come House Please Tori Olorun.”
