The Nigeria Immigration Service (NIS) has announced the reopening of its passport application portal, now optimized for improved service delivery.
According to a statement by the NIS Public Relations Officer, Deputy Comptroller of Immigration (DCI) KT Udo, the portal had been temporarily closed to facilitate system upgrades and maintenance.
Titled “Passport Application Portal Now Back in Optimal Service,” the statement reads:
“The Nigeria Immigration Service wishes to inform the public that our online passport application portal is fully operational following a successful system upgrade and maintenance.
“We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience caused during the period of the upgrade and express our gratitude for your patience and understanding.
“The Service remains committed to providing excellent service to Nigerians worldwide.”
This move reflects the NIS’s ongoing efforts to enhance the efficiency and accessibility of its services.
