Lawal, along with fellow nominees Jamila Ibrahim from Kwara and Ayodele Olawande from Ondo, faced the rigorous screening process, aiming to join the ranks of the 45 ministers previously approved by the Red Chamber back in August.

The screening session was prompted by President Bola Tinubu’s letter to the Senate, requesting confirmation for the nominees, a letter read on the legislative chamber floor just a day before.
