Yenagoa – The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has officially handed over the Certificate of Return to Governor Douye Diri of Bayelsa State and his deputy, Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo. The presentation took place today at the Prof. Mahmood Yakubu Media Centre, INEC state office, Yenagoa.
Governor Diri emerged victorious in the Bayelsa State governorship election held on November 11, securing the mandate to lead the state.
The ceremony, presided over by INEC national commissioner May Agbamuche-Mbu, marked the formal recognition of their electoral success.
