Nigerian music star and record producer Damini Ebunoluwa Ogulu professionally known as Burna Boy has broken his silence for the first time since the release of Speed Darlington’s diss track entitled’Baby Oil’.
Speed Darlington also known as ‘Akpi’ had purchased multiple cartons of ‘Baby oil’ while shooting a diss track video aimed at his senior colleague, Burna Boy. The artist shared videos of himself acquiring the baby oil, which he claimed was part of his creative process for his track.
This happened weeks after Speed Darlington whose real name is Darlington Okoye was released from Police custody by Burna Boy for reportedly making derogatory posts about him.
Speed Darlington’s newly released diss track ‘Baby Oil’ is topping the charts on Spotify. This recent move has added has added another chapter to his ongoing conflict with Burna Boy.
In a new development, Burna Boy shared a controversial post on social media making his thoughts known. According to Burna, many people want to be in his spot but have no idea exactly what it feels like to be him.
“Everybody wants your spot until they see the work it takes to be in that spot.” He wrote.
The African Giant crooner has won several awards due to his talent and determination. The awards include Best International Act at the BET Awards, Album of the Year at the All Africa Music Awards. He was awarded African Artist of The Year at the 2020 Ghana Music Awards and also awarded the Member of the Order of the Federal Republic plaque for his achievements in music.
Burna Boy’s success has led some to Opine that he has cultivated of a leading character and figure in Afrobeat. Speed Darling on the other hand is equally doing well for himself.
