Nollywood actor, Charles Okocha, popularly known as Igwe2pac and Phenomenal is set to get married to the love of his life.
The actor who has two children from previous relationships, announced his forthcoming marriage on his Instagram page on Tuesday the 5th of November.
Sharing adorable photos with his fiancée, Okocha accompanied the post with the wedding hashtag #MICHARLES2024, confirming the ceremony to take place this year.
This has come as a surprise to his colleagues and fans given his previous stance on marriage. In an earlier interview, he expressed skepticism due to the high divorce rate, stating, “People you look up to are getting divorced… how do you want me to get into this marriage thing?”
“The truth is I have never been married in my life and I am a happy man. You and I know what is going on these days, you see a couple married for a couple of years and next, they are divorced. People you see as role models are getting divorced and when you see them you are like what is going on? These are people you have been looking up to and now they are divorced, how then do you want me to get into this marriage thing?”. Okocha said.
He added that he is focused on taking care of his two kids, a son and daughter as that is his responsibility.
The caption showed that they would get married before the end of 2024 but the exact date is yet to be disclosed.
Charles Okocha was one of the mentors for ‘Idea Challenge, initiated by Nigeria Billionaires Network. He won the Vskit Voice Competition in 2019.
