Popular Nigerian singer, Davido on Tuesday vowed to reunite with his daughter, Imade despite threats from the girl’s mother Sophia Momodu.
The 31-year-old made via his verified Instagram story while celebrating his daughter’s birthday.
Davido, in his birthday message, the singer reassured Imade of his love for her and promised to see her soon.
He wrote: “Happy birthday to my first born child Imade Adeleke, just know Daddy loves you so much! And I will see you soon, I promise.”
Recall that, Sophia earlier this year threatened to take legal action against singer over an alleged threat to her life, cyberbullying and harassment.
The businesswoman, through her lawyers, accused the singer of using defamatory remarks, after which issued a cease and desist letter to him.
In the letter dated January 10, Sophia claimed that Davido has continued with his “disruptive and unlawful conduct” despite an ongoing investigation following a petition against him.
Sophia also stated that Davido’s behaviour and actions are “Impeding our efforts to achieve a peaceful resolution concerning the arrangements for the care and welfare of Imade which is of paramount importance.”
The concluding part of the letter read: “Please take note that unless your client discontinues the acts of threats, harassment and cyberbullying against our clients in the next 48 hours, our clients retain the rights to pursue all available legal remedies.”
