Nigerian event promoter and talent manager Paul Okoye also known as PaulO criticized human rights lawyer Deji Adeyanju, for associating Burna Boy with the re arrest of singer, Speed Darlington. Adeyanju responds.
The lawyer had earlier stated that Burna Boy was behind the re arrest of Speed Darlington.
He said: “Burna Boy is behind the harassment and arrest of our client. He’s abusing the privilege and power he has over him.
“Nothing was sorted when he was first arrested; we only secured his bail. They’re on their way from Imo to Abuja, and we’ll do everything possible to help them. He was arrested during his end-of-the-year musical show in Owerri, Imo State.”
Reacting to the information concerning Speed Darlington’s arrest, PaulO asked Deji to get his facts right and respect Burna Boy.
In a post on his Instagram page, the show biz promoter criticized Deji Adeyanjun for involving Burna Boy in Darlington’s recent arrest.
PaulO accused the lawyer of being unprofessional and spreading misinformation, urging Deji to handle his clients more responsibly.
He wrote: “Lawyer Deji or what ever they call you!!!! Can you put respect on Burna Boy’s Name? Why are you even mentioning Burna Boy’s name?? Smh You’re nothing more than a social media lawyer! Lawyer my Ass. Get your facts right before you open your gutter mouth Control your client.”
The human rights lawyer responding to him wrote: “I don’t respond to nonentities”
Recall that Speed Darlington was rearrested by the police during his show in Owerri, Imo State for jumping bail.
Deji Adeyanju, on Wednesday, 27th November 2024 took to social media to inform the public of the arrest of his client Speed Darlington.
Darlington was first arrested on the 4th of October 2024 in Lagos and transferred to Abuja before being detained by the IGP’s Intelligence Response Team in the Guzape area of Abuja.
His mother had cried out that he was missing. The singer was later released on the 9th of October after spending five days in detention.
