Senator Ifeanyi Ubah, who represented Anambra South Senatorial District, has officially defected from the Young Progressives Party (YPP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
This announcement came to light during a brief plenary session on Thursday, with Senate President Godswill Akpabio reading a letter detailing the reasons behind Senator Ubah’s decision.
The letter cited “irreconcilable differences” within the YPP as the primary motive for his departure, although it did not delve into the specifics of these differences. It is noteworthy that Senator Ubah chose to switch allegiances in the interest of his constituents.
