Iyabo Ojo Drags Lizzy Anjorin To Court, Demands 500 Million

VICTORIA CHUKWUANI

Controversial Nollywood actress Iyabo Ojo has filed a legal action against her colleague Lizzy Anjorin over alleged defamation and cyberbullying.

Recall that Iyabo through her lawyers on November 24, accused Lizzy of referring to her as Sepeteri, a fictional character the Lizzy claimed had a threesome with her daughter.

In the suit that surfaced on social media, Iyabo demanded an apology, a retraction and N500 million as compensation for damages to her reputation, adding that the matter would be taken to court if Lizzy failed to oblige to her demands.

The suit read in parts:

“Our client came on her verified social media handle on Instagram and called out your name and asked if you were referring to her as ‘Sepeteri’. She further challenged you to mention her name for clarity and put and end to the second-guessing. Surprisingly you did not waste time to respond. Within few minutes you came on your verified page and responded saying, ‘I will not call your real name but I will keep attacking you as Sepeteri an open and uncontentious way of alluding and affirming that you have always referred to our client(facts admitted need no further prove).”

In reaction to the suit, Lizzy laughed it off, saying that she never mentioned Iyabo’s name in her post and videos.

However, in a video shared on the actress instagram page, Iyabo and her lawyer were seen speaking with newsmen about the matter which is now being handled by the court.

The lawyer stated that the case has been adjourned to April 10 and she is positive about getting justice for her client.

Speaking on the matter. Iyabo wrote:

“April 10th is round the corner……. the court will be serving you once again, Liz, and this time, the court has given the order for it to be pasted everywhere on your wall if you don’t accept it ……. this court se, we must go and you must bring all your evidence by force by fire.”
