The body of makeup artist Abigail Frederick, who died alongside popular Nollywood actor, Junior Pope following a boat accident on Anam River in Anambra State, has been exhumed.
Recall, Frederick, actor Junior Pope and several others died in the boat accident on April 10 on their way back from a film production, Another Side of Life.
Frederick’s body was found on April 11 and was quickly buried at the riverbank.
However, the Akwa Ibom State Governor Umo Eno on Saturday directed that her body should be brought to her family. The deceased was a native of Akwa Ibom.
Movie producer known simply as Stanley confirmed on Sunday on Instagram Story that Akwa Ibom State Government officials were in Asaba, Delta State capital for Frederick’s body.
“Akwa Ibom State government team are in Asaba already to exhume the body of late Abigail (makeup artist).
“I must commend their state government for this wonderful gesture,”
he wrote.
Stanley, also a show promoter, shared photos of the moments with bloggers but posted on Instagram a video showing the moment the government officials took Frederick’s body away.
