Stella Maris, the spouse of Nollywood actor, John Okafor also known as Mr. Ibu, has arrested her step daughter, Jasmine and the actor’ son over the purported disappearance of funds raised for his medical care.
Nollywood actress, Doris Ogala via her Instagram page on Thursday on 23rd November, disclosed that the siblings are being held at the Alagbon police station in Lagos.
It would be recalled that Stella had accused Jasmine and her stepbrother of withdrawing 300 million Naira from the dedicated account for Mr. Ibu’s donations.
The wife of the Nollywood star was also alleged to demand for the donations so as to funds her expensive lifestyle, an allegations she dismissed as a malicious lie and a tool to blackmail her.
Doris elaborated that subsequent to their arrest, police investigations revealed that the total contributions did not amount to 300 million naira.
“Jasmine and Ibu’s sons were arrested at Alagbon Police Station. They are detained there. Ibu’s wife alleged that Jasmine moved 300 million out of the account Ibu’s wife allegedly wanted them to buy her new house from the money contributed so far for Ibu’s treatments.
“That’s why she arrested Jasmine. But investigation states that the money contributed isn’t even up to 300 million”.
