Prominent Nigerian filmmaker Kunle Afolayan has replied to those criticising him for dancing with his daughter, Eyiyemi at the premiere of Anikulapo: Rise of the Spectre.
It would be recalled that a video of Eyiyemi dancing with her father at the premiere’s after-party was posted on her Instagram account on Monday, sparking outrage amongst fans.

In reaction to the video, many tagged the action of the father and daugther as ‘inappropriate’ due to how Kunle held his daughter while dancing.
Reacting in an Instagram post on Tuesday, Kunle posted more highlights from the series premiere with Phyno’s Do I featuring Burna Boy playing in the background, suggesting that he does not care about the criticism.
The filmmaker also wrote that love surpasses everything.
He wrote:
“I am a King! I am a child of the most high! You can only try.
“Love surpasses everything.
“Do I look like…”
Replying to her father’s post, Eyiyemi wrote in the comment section of the post,
“Louder for those at the back please.”
