The father of the late Afro-pop star Mohbad, Joseph Aloba, has accused his deceased son’s mistress of being behind his death.
Aloba, in a recent interview with oyinmomotv, disclosed that Mohbad’s mistress is the one who killed him, although, he didn’t mention the mistress’ name.
The singer’s father also during the interview insisted that Liam is not his late son’s biological child, pointing out that Liam has “bow legs,” which is not a trait in their family and his name which according to him, isn’t Christian-like.

Speaking in the video, Joseph said, “We talked about DNA, they did not do it, they were talking about burial, how do we bury without confirming the child is our blood.”
Continuing, Baba Mohbad said, “Concubine/Adultery killed Mohbad . The name of cynthia is supposed to be lies, there’s no iota of truth in her words, then she was talking about Placenta because she didnt give it to me, so i reguested for the placenta but didnt get it, until they gave him someelse’s child. It was people that called my attention to see that the child was having bow leg, we don’t have bow leg in my family. I didn’t name the child Liam, i wanted to name him Victor, i was asked if there was no other name, is Liam a Christian name? Liam is a muslim name and we are not muslims in my family.
However, the singer’s father new revelation seems to be contradicting, as the reason given for demanding for a DNA test in an interview in April is quite different.
Aloba had clarified that his insistence on his daughter-in-law conducting a DNA test on his grandson isn’t because he is doubting his paternity, but to satisfy the curiosity of concerned Nigerians.
The video has caused a stir on social media with neitians, urging the late singer’s widow to do the needful by conduting a DNA test and shutting her father-in-law’s damning allegations.

Ese Osaimfi wrote, “Just because of property. He doesn’t want Liam to inherit, shame to this man.”
Onome wrote, “That child isn’t Mohbad’s son if not why should doing DNA test turn story.”

Omolowo Akande wrote, “now this story Dey clear thank God the man is speaking up a lot of secret will be exposed, my question is why did the lady not do DNA test in other to clear out her name and son”.
Wunmi, who had previously expressed eagerness to conduct a DNA test on her son, recently made a U-turn, saying she was no longer open to the test.
Giving reason for her drastic change of mind, Wunmi noted that only her late husband has the right to request a DNA test from her, stressing that Mohbad disvirgined her and that he was the only man she had slept with.
Mohbad died on September 12, 2023, at the age of 27 years.
His death generated controversies across the country and beyond, prompting Lagos State Government to direct a coroner’s inquest into the death.
