The presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) Peter Obi on Saturday paid a condolence visit to the family of the late Nollywood actor, John Paul Obumneme Odonwodo, popularly known as Junior Pope.
Top Society reports that movie star was buried on Friday in his hometown Ikpogwu Ukehe in Nsukka, Enugu State.

Obi after signing the condolence register, posed for photographs with the actor’s children and consoled them and their mother.
The former Governor of Anambra State was accompanied by Nollywood actor cum politician, Kenneth Okonkwo.
Sharing photos and video clip from the condolence visit, Okonkwo, who was the former spokesperson of the Labour Party presidential campaign council, captioned on his X handle: “HE Peter Obi arrived at the residence of John Paul Odonwodo Junior Pope, to pay his condolences to his family over the sad, and untimely departure of their child, brother, husband and father. He consoled his mother, Mrs Maria Odonwodo, the widow, Jennifer, and his children.”
The deceased actor got married to Jennifer Awele in November 2014 and they had three children together.
He drowned on April 10 alongside four others after their boat capsized on the Anam River in Anambra State while returning from a film location.
