Members of the Senate were kept in the dark on Tuesday as the Abuja Electricity Distribution AEDC PLC put off electricity supply to the Senate chamber.
Due to power failure, Senators on Tuesday, delayed the plenary session for the AEDC PLC to restore power supply before the commencement of sitting.
This threw the Red Chamber into blackout as the lawmakers awaited the restoration of public power supply.
The President of the Senate Godswill Akpabio would later commence plenary after power was restored some minutes later.
