Oba Adekunle Adeagbo, the Oore of Otun Ekiti, and the coordinator of South West traditional rulers have commended the governor of Nasarawa State Engineer Abdullahi Sule for his commitment to service of the people and upliftment of his state.
Oba Adeagbo commended the governor shortly after he was given Man of the year award by Top Society Magazine, at an event marking the 10th year anniversary of the publication held at Civic Centre, Victoria Island, Lagos.
The monarch said Governor Sule has been a man he has admired and monitored for a long time, right from when he was in the oil and gas industry and he found him to be a man of worthy character.
Oba Adeagbo added that, that it is people of impeccable character like Engineer Sule that are needed in public office.
He therefore charged Nigerians to always look out for people of good character and good pedigree when electing people into public office.
The monarch said, “Governor Sule is the man of the year, he is a character I have monitored and watched over the years, he is consistent, professional and has worked widely in oil and gas industry, and I see more of him when he was the Managing Director of AP, and I thank God that he has quality leadership particularly in his exposition as governor of Nasarawa State.
“Nasarawa State is an important state to many of us because a couple of months ago, I have the opportunity to be at the 5th Coronation anniversary of Emir of Lafia, Emir Sidi Bage, and I was at the palace, I saw the beauty of Nasarawa State, tarred road from Abuja to Lafia, we thank God for what he is doing because, the governor is very cerebral, very humble and very focused, and I think that he is the kind of leadership Nigeria need at this time.
“We need leaders that have a track record, we should check the background, the pedigree of people we want to put into the position of leadership, and such a leader is Engineer Sule.
“On behalf of the traditional institution we pray that God Almighty will give him the grace, give him wisdom, give him the knowledge and understanding, and we thank God for the visibility and the turn around in his service to the people of Nasarawa State, we love him so much, God will continue to guide him.”
