The Lagos State Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Hon Philip Aivoji has regained freedom from his abductors after four days in captivity.
News of his being freed from the den of the kidnappers was broken in the early hours of Monday by the party state publicity secretary Hon. Hakeem Amode in a press statement issued by him.
It will be recalled that, the party Chairman was kidnapped last Thursday along the Lagos- Ibadan express way,when returning from the party South West caucus meeting held in Ibadan,Oyo State.
His abductors had demanded for N200 million ransom as the condition to be met before he is released, however it is not clear whether a ransom was paid or not before he was released by his abductors.
The party publicity secretary in his statement therefore appreciate members of the public for standing by the party, and the family of the chairman during the difficult period.
“We use this opportunity to appreciate your prayers most importantly because God’s mercies was visible all the way.”The statement reads.
