Obaseki Increases Minimum Wage To N70,000

The Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki on Monday approved a new minimum wage of N70,000 for civil servants in the State.

Top Society reports that Obaseki while inaugurating the newly built ultra-modern Labour House secretariat complex for Labour unions in the State, along Temboga Road, Ikpoba-Hill, Benin City approved the new minimum wage for civil servants.

The governor disclosed that the new wage comes into effect on Workers Day, May 1st, 2024.

He also named the Labour House after the Senator representing Edo North and the former governor of Edo, Adams Oshiomhole.
