It was a historic day in Otun Ekiti, Mobaland, Ekiti State, as the Oore of Otun Ekiti, His Majesty Oba Adekunle Adeagbo, attended the First Oore in Council meeting of 2025.
During the meeting which was filled community leaders, Oba Adekunle Adeagbo offered prayers for the Federal government, State government, and local government, respectively, seeking divine guidance and wisdom for the leaders.
The highly respected traditional ruler, also brought his wealth of experience to the meeting. As a descendant of Oore Okinbaloye, who signed the Ekiti Parapo Treaty in 1886, he is deeply rooted in the history and culture of his people.
Under his leadership, the council meeting was a huge success, as meaningful conversations and decisions were made, with the aim to promote the development and well-being of Otun Ekiti and its people.
The Oore’s commitment to his community is evident in his efforts to promote peace and harmony. He has been recognized for his role in maintaining peace in Ekiti State, earning him the reputation as a peacemaker.
