Dr. Onaolapo Olusegun Soleye, a former Nigerian Minister of Finance, has passed away at the age of 90.
Late Soleye reached the age of 90 last Saturday.
The late Commissioner in the old Western region and former Ogun State Commissioner of Finance, Dr. Soleye, breathed his last in the early hours of Wednesday. Dr. Soleye, known for his exemplary service and leadership, had also held key positions such as Commissioner for Lands, Trade, Industry, and Commerce in Ogun State.

Last week, one of his adopted sons, Dr. Gbenga Adeoye, had released a press statement praising Dr. Soleye on his birthday, hailing him as a mentor with a faultless record.
Dr. Soleye is survived by his wife, Mrs. Modupe Womiloju Soleye, and four children – Olamide Soleye, Abimbola Fadimu, Oluwafunmilakin Soleye, and Eyitayo Soleye. His legacy also extends to grandchildren and a great-grandchild.
